So, I am moving out of my parents house in a few hours. A friend of mine and his wife live in a house that has a smaller apartment upstairs, and 2 other friends and I are renting it out. It will be a bit crowded, but I will be living with friends so lets hope it won't be too bad. Wish me luck and I'll see you guys when we get an internet connection for the place.

actually that's only happened with one out of the half dozen or so friends i've lived with, and that one only because he pulled a dick move of monumental proportions the day before we moved out

Apparently my place is not in compliance with the city of Ames, and it looks like my room mates want to use this to get off of the lease.

I actually agree with them, but it'd mean I'd have to move back home

No, but the ceiling looks like it's going to collapse, and one wall in our hallway is starting to expand because of the amount of water inside of it. Our porch is filled with water because of the bad ceiling. Our windows won't stay open unless you prop them. We also have mice, and the landlord is supposed to keep the house maintained so it's very hard to for rodents to get in.

They've had over month to come fix this stuff, and we'll we haven't heard anything about it.
