The Video Game Thread

Got an invitation to play the Elder Scrolls Online beta. I saw some gameplay for it way last year and it looked really average, so I guess I get to find out for myself.

Even if it is average, it'll give me something to play this weekend

Also, I got Outlast for PS4 the other day and wow... that shit is scary. About an hour into it right now.

Finally got around to playing Starfox 64 properly (yes, I'm still refusing to call it Lylat Wars) since my TV upstairs seems to dislike older hardware. Andross is a fucking asshole and the game is far, far less forgiving thn I remember... but by God, I love it.

Still prefer Starfox and Starfox 2 though *cough*

Yeah, also played that Outlast for brief period of time but it's just too jumpy scares for to be enjoyable. I like horror and tension but it was just that bit too much, maybe because you can't kill those buggers. Give me a shotgun and I go back and rip that place a new one, until then no way

That's part of what makes it scary! Being totally in unable to fight back.

Also, i've played around 10 hours of Elder Scrolls Online and I love it now. Thought it was gonna suck, but it actually doesn't

It's been a few days, but The Last of Us : Left Behind still haunts me. That fucking game is WAY too damn emotional.

Yeah, the whole damn add-on just destroyed me :(

Recently restarted FFVII because I got the PS4 controller to work on my PC. Just as fun as I remember it was last time. Thankfully this time I have it on steam and not an emulator

Need any help or hints, let me know :D

As my avatar may imply, I've recently dived back into playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! on the NES. Even 20 years on, I STILL can't fucking beat Piston Honda the second time around!!

Bought and finished Metal Gear Solid : Ground Zeroes yesterday. If THAT is what MGSV is gonna be like, it's going to easily be one of my favorite games ever. I can't wait.

Also restarted Dark Souls and FFVII recently. Dark Souls co-op makes the game SO much more fun.

Rented Titanfall for 360 from Redbox, holy shit that game is fucking awesome. Think we're gonna buy it in a few days.

Still have to get my PS4 fixed, last I checked it wouldn't stop beeping and trying to eject discs that weren't even in it. I love it, and have been dying to play my games on it but no way in hell I want to sit through all that damn beeping

Recently I have been playing Dead Nation: Apocalypse released via PS+, suitably brainless shooter this one. I'm still waiting for that Mad Max to be released, hell at this point I would be satisfied with release date... I really hope that it's going to be worth all this wait.

Delayed to 2015...bugger...

I'm just spending all of my time editing Game Surgery episodes. Verm's racism is a pain hahahaha.

We're getting a 'scratch' intro done soon so we can start uploading, but once we've got more time and money we're going to get a pro to do some stuff for us. With any luck, we'll have a batch of episodes up before summer :)

I played the first Dark Souls on 360 and it was kinda fun but at the time I was just beginning to hate playing 360 so I thought I just didn't like the game

Now I really wanna try it again but on Playstation.

A sequel to Shaq-Fu has been crowdfunded, and is entering development now. Who in their right mind pledged to this thing?!
