The Video Game Thread

Updates?

Replayed Soul Reaver. Shorter than I remember it.
Bought Dragon Ball Z Infinite World. Relentless AI that literally requires cheating and I've got 99% completion within less than 24 hours. Rubbish.
Replayed Blood Omen. Badass, yet harder than I remember it.
Bacon.

Played the first one quite a bit and didn't like it. Pandora was such a dead and boring place that I never felt there was anything interesting to do. Definitely not buying the second one.

okay then
only asking cuz i realized that a game i'd never played had gotten a sequel
thought if it was good enough to get a sequel, the first one might be fun to play, but i thought i should ask people first

did everyone else think the first borderlands game sucked??
or did anyone else actually like it??

RE:Chain of Memories
358/2 Days

All remastered in HD for the PS3. You have no idea how happy this makes me.

I never played the original Borderlands but I got Borderlands 2 and so far its been awesome. Playing as the Gunzerker btw. The customization is great and the combat is incredibly satisfying. I would be playing it right now, unfortunately I have a paper due tomorrow and need to take care of that first...

Started another play through on Fallout New Vegas. Last time I played it was a year and half ago. Level 15 and it has only frozen once and the load screens don't seem as bad as I remember. Thinking about buying borderlands 2.

I recently restarted Fallout 3. Lots of "Early 2009) punching me in the face at certain points. Things I had forgoten, then did/found/remembered :
Dukov.
How fucking big Rivet City is.
People in Megaton "Pooling their resources together and saving up" to get me.... dirty water.
How much I disliked DC. Too much debris everywhere. Too many tunnels.
Herbert Daring Dashwod and Argyle!
And finally.... Moira's mole rat repellant.

Is Darksiders worth buying? Looks alright to me but still unsure. Who has played it?

A friend of mine, who agrees on most games with me, loves both of them. There's a demo out for the first one I believe.

I beat Assassin's Creed : Revelations yesterday and I kinda fanboyed a bit. I bought and watched Embers right after that and will admit, I shed a few tears. I really hope Connor is as awesome as Ezio, but I don't see Ezio ever being beaten in terms of likeability/badassery.

Other than that, Arma2's DayZ mod is fucking awesome. It's like every time I finish playing it, I have some incredible story to tell. Every. Fucking. Time.

Oh, and I picked up the Devil May Cry HD Collection this morning for $13. I've never played any of them before.

<3 Metal Gear.

I recently started playing Devil May Cry. Is there no god damn story to this game?! It seems like endless killing and puzzle solving. Thought the few cutscenes I've seen were awesome though.

Let's see....

Spard was a superbadass, and had a son named Dante, who is a demon-killer for hire. Okay, I got that part. Trish hires Dante to kill Mundus. 'Kay.

That seems to be it so far.

Not hating on it mind you, just saying. I'm really looking forward to playing DMC3, but I need to play 2 before that. I'm on mission like, 20ish in the first one, so I'm almost done with that.
