Fuck it's out already? Got to get my hands on this this paycheck.
Came really close a few days ago ordering a Crosley vinyl player, but accidentally stumbled on a long and detailed review somewhere on YT (figured it was an omen, of some sort so didn't purchase it). Basically said that their players look cool as furniture but are not a good player because they don't last and the speakers are pretty low. Does anyone have any ideas what brands produce decent vinyl players?

To buy Hour of 13 - 333 and the s/t on vinyl or not? It's probably gonna set me back $60 bucks to get them imported from Germany. Buuuut I want them.

If I were you id save up a few more hundred bucks and splurge for a Technics 1200 mach 2. You can get them used for like $300 to $400...Thats what I have with a different cartridge then the stock one, and its fucking badass.
EDIT: And Krow, $30/lp is like my average price spent for records, so my vote is to go for it.

Thanks for the info. They were surprisingly very easy to find! The reviews on this all praise it, but recommend the Denon DL-160 cartridge, which I'm guessing is what you have. Wasn't sure how much was too much on a turntable (which was why my range was so low) but this sounds great, and worth it. I think I know where my graduation money will go to. :]

Yeah a lot of people are selling used on craigslist. Most of the time in pairs because a lot of dj's use them.
Not sure about the Denon cartridge, the one I use is a Shure m97xe and Im pleased with it.

For my amurrican brothers: Orchid - The Mouths of Madness dlp on translucent purple/black swirl (200 copies only!) And the new Immolation (250 copies) are available for preorder at nuclear blast's US shop. Something tells me they won't last long. Bought Orchid.
Also preordered Ghoul - Maniaxe on orange vinyl. The fucking die hard sold out two hours after they were live. Missed it by an hour.
