Breathing Light - Becoming The Archetype

Must be one of the most epic and majestic death metal songs I've ever heard (even though my interest in the genre isn't that extensive).

Having recently learned that US-based power metal band Cellador is reforming, I have been revisiting their old tunes. Leaving All Behind will be enjoyed by anyone who likes old Helloween (get 10 seconds into the vocals and you'll see why). Good stuff!

Cherri Bomb - Let It Go.

An all-girl rock band from L.A. According to their bio, their average age is only 13..... but they're really great. If they're this good now, I can't wait to see what their music will be like with a few more years under their belts.

Becoming the Archetype - Artificial Immortality

I am not a mechanism
I am part of the resistance
I am an organism
An animal
A creature
I AM A BEAST!

Man, I love that part. :D

So I've been a big fan of Danish power metal band Pyramaze for a long time. For some reason, I never picked up their third album Immortal, possibly because I'm not the biggest Matt Barlow fan in the world (he was with Pyramaze for one album between Iced Earth stints). Don't get me wrong, he's awesome and a super nice guy, I just am in the minority of Iced Earth fans that prefer Ripper's vocals ;) Anyway, I finally got Immortal recently and am giving it lots of spins. Very nice. His voice is growing on me with every listen. My favorite song so far is A Beautiful Death:

BTW, Inner Wound did a vinyl release of this album:
