reading through some of his lists on certain band's best albums. some odd choices in there.

Specifically in the Judas Priest one, he put Point Of Entry in the top 5 and left out Sad Wings, Stained Class and Painkiller?

And besides, he's not bad at all as far as professional critics go. Few people like him give Emperor and the like any recognition, let alone pick them over Demon Burger as best band in Norway. (Dimmu came #10, behind Mayhem, Darkthrone, Burzum, Borknagar, and othrs)

I've read some of his reviews. They aren't very good or particularly well-informed, and in an annoying format.

He does indeed look like a douche but he's got the knowledge down. Not sure I'm a fan though, The Scorpion are his favorite German metal band. I'm sick of jornalists who like hair metal. Plus he rates Dillinger Escape Plan as the best metal album of '07. I have that album... it's not good. But he does have some okay decisions and I guess it's cool that some journalist dork even knows these bands names and stuff.

Plus he lists "Celtic Metal" as a major genre of metal.

No doubt this guy is great and all, it's just that I hate all critics, what-so-ever.
