Moonlapse...c'mon...you gotta make it happen. Be creative. I may be 19 now, but I spent a good 5 or 6 years of my concert-going life getting into club shows as a minor. Besides, its fucking Opeth. You can do it. I have faith.

In aussie a rent or someone over 21 can't take you? You can get into adult/promo shows with adult supervision here.
Could always glue some pubes to your face but that opens a whoooole nother can of worms.

Sorry to hear that in Australia there is such a problem with attending shows if you are underage. For me personally in the U.S. I have yet to go to a show that WASN'T all ages. Being a person who IS of age, it can actually get quite annoying. Shows end early and even get cut off because of the damn curfew. Certain establishments here even SEGREGATE the minors and those who are able to drink (these places will remain nameless *sigh*). Also, depending on the mix of bands (and yes I am talking metal shows here) where the genres are kind of off...you'll have a good pack of 13-14 year olds that wanna act like they are at a fucking punk rock show or something. I personally hate that shit. Forgive my bitching, just my opinion of what goes on here. Guess you guys should come over to America, hehe.
Honestly, Lioness. Just sit back and enjoy the music, moshing is boring, interuptive and cliche.

shit, i felt really old at the recent Opeth show and I'm only 25, the venue was all ages so there were kids there that looked 13. I didn't mind though, made the crowd easier to deal with as far as moshers go.
don't be too anxious to get old, man, cuz once you break 21 you begin to age faster and faster. Life and your job cosnume your days and time speeds up, i tell ya, it's really weird when you start saying things like "kids these days..." and "one day you'll understand.." fuck, isn't that what i'm sayin' right now?...

Over 21 shows are wrong, therefore getting into one with a fake ID is not wrong, hehe. Seriously, though, I think it's a bunch of bullshit. The shows should be 100% about the music, and so if that means not serving alcohol then fine. Our society is over-dependent on alcohol anyways.

Here's something I did .. I couldn't get in to a show here .. some cover band was playing primus, death and tool along with some originals and the singer was supposed to be at times greater than maynard and a better guitarist than chuck .. of course this was bullshit because I've seen them before ..but they are still awesome and I wanted to see them .. a week before they played I went down and asked to speak to the manager .. he wasn't there so I aksed his name .. went home and called him and explained my situation and how I really wanted to see the band but I was to young .. the dude told me to come down an hour before the opening band and he'd not only let me in but he'd let me in for free due to the inconvenience ... now he's not legally alowed to do this but you can come to some agreement Im sure
