Bound for Glory with Steel in our Hands!

Made my day.

Hey Erik and fotmbm! Did you get Damnation yet??? Post your thoughts when you do.

On a different note, the new Anaal Nathrakh is quite amazing. Not so much of the straightforward ass-raping of the past. Much more complex, and the songs are really getting some amazing variation. I think they have sort of moved away from the black metal arena, though. They are more of an extreme metal band similar to the way Akercocke can't quite fit black metal or death metal.

The list:
1. Nehëmah - Requiem Tenebrae
2. Deathspell Omega - Si Monumentum...
3. Arckanum/Svartsyn, Xasthur(Violate>>Telepathic), Pest(EP), Angantyr, Astrofaes, Hate Forest Battlefields & Drudkh.
4. The rest

That Damnation is pretty good from the two songs I've heard, and I will be getting that one too.
Tell me, if that Armagedda is any good compared to their other stuff, I was not impressed by "Only True Believers" so much.

"Ond Spiritism" is MUCH better than their other two albums.

(P.S. I stole your avator :Spin: )

I don't listen to much black metal, but Leviathan's Tentacles of Whorror is a pretty cool album. I didn't see it mentioned during a quick scan of the thread--any fans?

Do you know whats going on with Morannon now? I still havent got their last demo and I havent emailed them in many months.
I have no idea at all, I haven't seen anything new mentioned for a long time, probably a year or so... I suppose I could copy that demo for you if you want.

Ond Spiritism is very different from OTB, I guess one could still call it black metal but it's much slower and eerie, and a LOT better. Get it I say.

Hm, how would you describe that Nehemah? From what I recall your taste in music is pretty good, thus placing that one above SMRC really makes me interested

Based on the information I could find, and the fact that Lutz had it at #1, I purchased Nehemah 'Requiem Tenebrae' last night. Once I find Deathspell Omega for a good price, I'll get it too.

Spaffe & Caelum:
Alright, you both made me very interested in that Armagedda. I'll probably pick it up soon. Thanks.

Spaffe:
About the Nehëmah album..
I think the sound and feel is kinda similar to Emperor's ITNE on some songs (the faster ones), but with a heavier and much better production and much more powerful vocals. Then again, not _that_ similar. Don't really know how to describe it any better, sorry.
Also, It is a real grower, it just get's better and better each time you listen to it. If you decide to check it out don't give up on it at first listen, you need at least to listen to it 5-10 times to fully get it. I listen to it on a daily basis now... Can't get enough of it, heh.

Nate:
Good choice, be sure to write what you think about it here later.

If so, get the vinyl version, the layout is kick ass and it has "bloodstains" I first thought the guy who sent it to me had spilt strawberry juice or something similar all over it hehe

A description good enuogh to warrant a purchase anyhow, thanks.

I've been listening to "Battles in the North" this morning... and I've come to the conclusion that it is extremely hard to understand and appreciate if you aren't paying close attention. If you're listening to bad speakers or riding in the car or something, you can't hear a lot of the guitars due to the icy mix... but here I sit with my headphones and some of these riffs (though hidden very well) are excellent!

Abso-fucking-lutely. It was good enough for us to carry in our distro! Easily Wrest's best work.
