TNA or WWE ?

The funny thing about this video is that he trash talks people who watch WWE, yet he knows exactly who everyone in WWE is! While I agree that the quality of the WWE product is currently in the toilet, there are still some very talented performers (Benoit, Mysterio, RVD, Sabu, Michaels, etc.) in the company. Hopefully, more of them will end up in TNA and I will be able to stop watching WWE all together.

I have to say, I watch more TNA more than WWE now. The last 2 PPVs my husband and I bought were TNA ones. You can't beat their X-division: AJ, Daniels, Joe, Sabin, Sanjay...awesome wrestling. And Stinger was pretty good in his match against Abyss.

We also been going to the Ring of Honor shows when they're in town. Some good, technical wrestlers there.

Isn't TNA owned by the WWE? They must at least have some sort of partnership. I don't follow closely but, I thought I saw some wrestlers going back and forth between the two. Kurt Angle for example...

They don't have a partnership, NWA/TNA are basically the new WCW & are building up to compete with WWE. They're the two biggest American Pro-Wrestling feds atm so when wrestlers leave or get released they often just jump ship to the alternative brand, & that's what Kurt Angle did.

I've been watching WWF/E for nearly 10 years now & it's hard to let it go, what with my favourites such as Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Undertaker, Rob Van Dam & the McMahons all still being there. But I've also been watching TNA on & off for the past couple of years & there is a lot of great young talent on there. The problem with TNA though is they put more focus on their WWE rejects than they do on their own home-grown X-Division wrestlers. How can people see them as a good alternative product when all they want to do is act like another WWE?

TNA but I fear Vince Russo is gonna ruin it.

I don't think he'll have a chance to completely ruin it, I would imagine Jeff Jarrett will come to his senses and realize that all the hard work they've put into TNA should not be jeopardized by his friendship with Russo. I would say that if the rating don't improve soon, Russo may be looking for a new job.

I've heard good things about ROH, maybe I should check them out sometime.

They're very entertaining, and good bang for your buck. $20 for ringside seats and the shows last 3 hours. TNA folks (Samoa Joe, Daniels, Austin Aries, Roderick Strong) are often at the show. And, the rest of the guys are great performers. Colt Cabana just had a dark match with Hacksaw when Raw was in Chicago last.

Sweet. My two loves combined, Anthrax and Pro Wrestling. I only post on the NFMB and boards related to pro wrestling and now I get to combine the two.

I watch more TNA now then I do WWE programming, I have ECW Tivo’d, but stopped actually watching it weeks ago, I’ve just been too lazy to edit my season pass.

If you’re a fan of old-school style micwork, and great athletic wrestling then TNA is the promotion to watch. Their production value isn’t anywhere near the level of WWE’s, and some of their storyline’s are pretty crappy too, but for the most part TNA’s one hour Impact show, hands down is better then any one hour of any WWE show.

I’d much rather watch Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Petey Williams, Christopher Daniels as well as Kurt Angle and possible Rob Van Dam in a few months then… Vince McMahon pulling stuff out of asses, some dork eating worms, and lame ass John Cena who only knows like 3 wrestling moves.

Good for you, not watching ECW anymore! :kickass: I'm boycotting it too!

I would have to say that the storyline's in TNA, for the most part, at least make some sort of "old school wrestling" sense. Sure, Russo's starting to take them down the "sports entertainment" road, but they still make more sense than just about anything WWE's doing!

Hey everyone .........

reality check........

Wrestling is FAKE!!!!

Thanks, Thraxx.
People seem to forget that.

I swear, I don't understand wrestling at all. Sure, when I was 11, I loved Hulk and Ultimate Warrior, etc. but as an adult, I really can't see the attractive side of a blend of theatre, spandex, oiled muscles and, grown men spouting stupid catchphrases and pretending to hurt each other. (Haha, reminds me of the Crimscene video!!)

If comic book characters were real, they'd never be this lame!

There's obviously a few wrestling fans here on the board, so can someone tell me exactly why they like wrestling? Like, what's the deal? I'm curious.

Cheers
