OT - Attn. Wrestling Fans

I thought tonights TNA show was much better than it's been in a year. Traci Brooks as a Knockouts "GM" is a good move and Sting doing the "Young talent need to respect the business angle" could go over great if it's handled properly. It's akin to his Millionaires Club character from the last days of wCw. With Foley coming in....I see him and Sting seeing eye to eye on this and Foley possibly cutting "anti-hardcore" promos like he used to do.
This could be a way to bring some structure back to the show...this business of everybody beating the shit out of everybody for no reason isn't working. The "cross the line" attitude they try to sell is just chaotic and confusing not only to casual fans but to the hardcore marks as well.

That's the angle Russo would use if he had half a brain.

I agree, my only question is, is Sting a heel now or not? Kind of hard to tell. Obviously, they are setting up a match between him and Jarrett.

What do you guys think of Jarrett coming back? I know a lot of people hate Jarrett, but I've never had a problem with him. Of course I don't work with him so...

Sting is a heel...but coming off like a tweener

Cant wait til double J gets Back

The beauty of it is that Sting could be interpreted as a heel or face, depending on the fans personal opinion. They should run with this until he retires.

JJ's return could be a swerve....Styles and the younger talent think he's with them...then he reveals his alignment with Sting. Bring in Nash/Foley and you'd have a return of the Kings Of Wrestling stable.

WWE hall of famer Walter "Killer" Kowalski, 81, has passed away. Kowalski suffered a heart attack on 8/8, and had been battling knee problems while living in a nursing home.

Kowalksi trained many wrestlers, including Triple H, Chyna, Perry Saturn, Kaz, and April Hunter, among many others.

Everyone here at GERWECK.NET would like to send our condolences to the many family and friends of Killer Kowalski.

From Matt Loder:

Mick Foley threw out the first pitch at a recent Cleveland Indians game and in response to the internet rumours that he has signed with TNA, he reportedly said, "Well, I can say that is not true, though I may try out a pay-per-view with them," He apparently was oblivious to the rumours.

Foley's contract with the WWE is set to expire this Monday, September 1st, so he cannot legally sign with TNA until then.

He's not saying that he won't sign, only that he hasn't yet. Legally, he had to say this. I think it'll happen.

where is curryman/christopher daniels and the dudleys?

i know rellik and black reign were not getting paid that much. they had no official contract with TNA and were more than likely on a paid per performance deal. i doubt hemme gets paid more than kaz

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Mick Foley has signed a short term deal with TNA and will be starting with them ASAP. He should release a statement regarding the situation tomorrow.
