Ok so it's out.

Now I must say, it is better than I expected. Certainly not a return to thrash, but it is metal again. Some fast stuff in it too, also some Load style stuf too. The lack of solo's I didn't really notice. It's not bad.

The only problem I have is that the DVD is heavier than the CD.

Oh and if you think the cover art is crap, don't worry, you should see the stuff on the inside, it's amazing.

As a 'package' it seems to look quite good.
I really don't think I'll be buying this one though..

Well that makes sense.
I just asked a kid at my local Target to go get me copy.

All I can say is I wish I wanted to get it. :)

Just saw on the Rage playlist that the St. Anger clip is on tonight....

Woohoo! I walked into HMV (to get Spiffo a copy of VotB), and lo behold St Anger was on the shelves! :headbang:

Got the digipack version, and promptly took the CD out of it's slot and put it into the DVD casing, with the DVD going into the slot - I don't mind if THAT gets scratched to shit, but I want the album to survive!

*recalls the nightmare of Best of the Beast packaging*

To be fair, St ANger's isn't quite so tight (where you have to squeeeeeeze the CD in), but it's still naff. They could have easily used a 2-tray digipack instead of a 1-tray, 2-slip (one for the booklet, one for the cd) digipack. Mumble.

How much was it Mark?
It's supposed to be US$10 - which is mighty cheap for an album and DVD. That should be under AUS$20.

Digipak are those foldout cardboard pieces of shit that look cool but don't fit into your cd rack and usualy deteriorate quickly if handled.
They usually limited edition, which is why they cost more.
