Top 10 Albums of All Time

Oh, I still love my little lamb, it's just that it's a bit... heavy. If it was the length of SEBTP (~50 minutes), composed of maybe these tracks:

The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
Fly on a Windshield
In the Cage
Back in NYC
Hairless Heart
The Carpet Crawlers
Lilywhite Lilith
Anyway
The Lamia
The Colony of Slippermen
The Light Dies Down on Broadway.

A thousand lashes for neglecting Chamber of 32 Doors and It. Regardless of whatever dead spaces might exist, I still consider it to be the best double album ever made.
And let the Ipod burn, you'll need someone to carry the computer out!

Empyrium - Weiland
In the woods... Omnio
In the woods... HEart of the ages
Opeth - Morningrise
Ulver - Bergtatt
Agalloch - Pale folklore
Maudlin of the well - Leaving your body map
Arcane Sun - Arcane sun
Summoning - Minas morgul
Unicorn - Eversince

i have no idea. I can tell you that Ruin of Beverast - Foulest Semen of the Sheltered Elite is Top 10. What a monster that album is. I like the others, but that one just pummels.

Obsequiae - Aria of Vernal Tombs is another one. That album doesnt get old.

always have my list handy:

Dirge - And Shall the Sky Descend
Isis - Panopticon
In The Woods... - Omnio
Elend - Winds Devouring Men
Drawn - A New World?
Isis - Oceanic
Ulver - Nattens Madrigal
Sigur Rós - ( )
Sigur Rós - Ágætis Byrjun
Emperor - Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk

that is so lame

Anthems is still up there, Omnio and Nattens probably, And Shall the Sky Descend I guess borderline top 10. Drawn and Elend's great albums but nowhere near a top 10 these days. The love for Isis + Sigur Ros definitely a thing of the past. Every now and then I still lust for "So Did We" / "In Fiction" but that's about it. Should rework the whole thing but can't be arsed.

It's interesting when Rain came out, I was still listening to CD's in my disc player-and I spent a ton of time on it. By 2009, I was listening to tracks with the mp3 player--and while I did listen to Foulest a bunch--it was not the same. I know Foulest had a lot more doom incorporated--which was definitely a change from the previous two, although not in a negative sense (and I was much more into doom in 2009 than now). Regarding Obsequiae, I loved Aria--but think that the first album had more songs I enjoyed--and had better bass throughout. I think they have yet to release their best material--which is an intriguing thought to be sure.

In the Woods... - Omnio
this is just one of those albums, man

it keeps growing and growing and it doesn't even matter that i've listened to it for fifteen or twenty years, it never grows stale, every time you just keep discovering more stuff and loving it more and more

when i'm sick and tired of all other music i can always just sit back and relax with 299 796 km/s, it just feels like home. i never do not want to listen to omnio.

I am very weather-centric when it comes to music, always have been. I can't listen to Kyuss in January anymore than I can hear Emperor in July. But man, that Omnio, home indeed. It's always just right.

Someone on RC sent me a CD-R many moons ago, I think it was Carbonized. I spun it a few times and thought "cool, will pay attention later." Finally got an actual CD in 2017 and it rarely leaves my sight.

EDIT: I found an old post about Omnio from 15 years back and I referred to it as "good but not great." I also made fun of Crowbar in the same thread. This is why I should slap my past self. What a maroon.
