Top 10 albums of the year (a picture thread)

You didn't miss much, that Sigur Ros show made me hate them. Before I saw them live, I thought they were pretty good. After, I thought they were horrible. It was a combination of many factors that made me think that. Firstly, the opener was the worst opener imaginable. It was a fat icelandic guy singing crappy ballads with an acoustic guitar. And then Sigur Ros came out after a long wait and played for over 2 and a half hours... and all the songs sounded exactly the same. They were so formulaic... and so similar... that I almost wept in frustration. I would have left, but my friends didn't want to leave. After I saw that show, I deleted all my Sigur Ros mp3s and I have never looked back.

I don't remember all and I am probably missing a lot, but these pop up in my mind as the good ones:

DECREPIT BIRTH - And Time Begins

DEEDS OF FLESH - Reduced to Ashes
FOETOPSY - Dyspartum
SOILS OF FATE - Crime Syndicate
PUTRID PILE - Collection of Butchery

Coheed and Cambria? Thursday? Poison The Well? Funeral for a Friend? That sure is a lot of shitacular melodic hardcore/post-hardcore.

Here's my shitty top 10:

10. TV On The Radio - Young Liars EP (Indie)

Emo = emotional hardcore. Stating that an emotional hardcore band is not emo is retarded, they are interchangable terms.

Darkest Hour are melo-death, not metalcore.

These Arms Are Snakes are ok, but the first track on the ep is far better than the rest, which is fairly irritating.

Coheed and Cambria are fucking amazing, as are the rest of the bands on my list. You might not like those bands because they actually know how to use melody to make catchy music which is not too catchy, but I value that attribute. Sure they are a bit poppy, but since when is that a bad thing?
