I consider Motorhead as hard rock...and Luminous said AC/DC was rock, but if you go to HMV they're in the metal section, and so, yeah. Rock.

I like weird Pink Floyd. My favorites are Ummagumma, Atom Heart Mother, then Syd Barret era stuff.

I prefer Loaded, because, to me, White Light/White Heat gets a little repetitive, it's all bluesy sounding, and it has The Gift (which I can't stand). I love the title track and Sister Ray, but I love all of Loaded.

I just happen to like Heathen. Not sure why.

Then you don't like Pearl Jam because Ten IS Pearl Jam. It's their quintessential album and by far their best, along with Vs which is basically a continuation of Ten. Both of those albums are so much better than all the rest of their material that it is almost like two different bands, one good and one bad.

I would argue Ten can't be Pearl Jam in that the greater percentage of releases are "that other band" if you will, thus declaring Ten a random fluke.

I find it more pedestrian and boring (what I've heard, I should point out) than any of the rest, but I often don't like first albums (I'm not a big fan of Opiate and Undertow, Rage's self-titled, etc...too raw and unfocused for me)

I do like Vs. though.

Ten has their best songs, Even Flow, Alive, Jeremy, Black, and Why Go. Vs has Dissident, Glorified G, Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town, and Daughter which are some of their best songs...

The rest of their albums (except for Vitalogy, which as Tremor Christ which kicks ASS and Spin the Black Circle which rocks da hizzy) kinda blow.
