Uncommon meter, or commonly referred to as time signatures doesn't make them prog, but their influences inspired them to make progressive music. Progressive music being symphonic in nature,having interesting solo's, unexpected turns... umm, yeah, it's prog. It's also neoclassical power metal.

Children Of Bodom use black metal vocals, therefore have black metal elements. I know plenty of black metal bands, too.

Symphony X is very much power-prog.

Kali Yuga's solo is one of the best solo's ever! I sometimes pull the CD out and just listen to that one little solo.

And What's happening with Aghora now anyway? Have they broke up? They havent released an album since like 1999? Same with Spiral Architect. Anyone know whats happening with them too?
Two of my favourite prog bands... Info will be greatly appreciated

Well, unfortunatley from what I understand Aghora was a one time thing, at least with their vocalist.

As for Spiral, Øyvind joined and is touring with Arcturas and Lars and Steinar are touring with Satyricon.

I hope they are planning on something new, either Spiral or Aghora.
