Top albums of 2009

[Blueprint]

So far, I haven't heard many impressive albums this year. There are quite some decent ones, but I'd like to hear some more exceptional stuff. Prog Power visitors generally have a good taste in music, so which albums have really impressed you this year? Maybe it'll inspire me

I'll start with my own list:

And I don't remember much else as it's too early in the morning to remember anything.

Got another 2 additions after some careful consideration.

1: Darkane - Demonic art. It might not be Layers of Lies, but it's still miles beyond what other bands manage to do.
2: Adagio - Archangels in Black. I just keep coming back to this record, and although I still like Underworld best, AIB is a really solid and fun album. Varied too.

Then again, perhaps you should try Iwrestledabear - It's all happening. Carnival Screamo. It's hilarious, and it works quite well, I must admit.

That Katatonia song is a pleasant surprise! I wasn't so happy with their latest album, but this seems like a step back into the right direction.
