top albums of all time

I'll limit it to ten for now...

At the Gates - The Red in the Sky is
Ours
Sacramentum - Far Away from the Sun
Aeternus - ...and So the Night Became
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Black Sabbath - Sabotage
The Chasm - Procession to the Infraworld
Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas
Pestilence - Consuming Impulse
Gorgoroth - Pentagram
Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus

Its nice to see someone who rightfully appreciates Sabotage as the pinnacle of Sabbath's discography.

I've switched my favorite Sabbath album around a few times but I'm currently convinced that Sabotage is their magnum opus. It's flawless. Symptom of he Universe and Megalomania are worth the price of the album alone.

Sabotage is kind of soft in a way not appropriate for classic Sabbath, and Hole in the Sky is one of the most annoying songs I know of (and is probably more responsible than any of their other songs for every godawful Monster Magnet & co. that exists). Anyone that prefers it to Paranoid or Master of Reality is listening to metal with his vagina. You guys probably think that Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is a respectable Iron Maiden album as well.

Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black
Fear Factory - Demanufacture
Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors
Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine/Infinity
Metallica - MoP
Threshold - March of Progress
Nokturnal Mortum - Voice of Steel
Emperor - Anthems...
Arch Enemy - Burning Bridges
Immolation - Failures for Gods
U2 - The Joshua Tree
Hammock - Departure Songs
In Flames - Colony
Nightrage - Sweet Vengeance
Nile - BSoV

(In no order)

Drudkh - Autumn Aurora
Opeth - BWP
Tool - Lateralus
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
WITTR - Black Cascade
Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane
Windir - 1184
Slayer - Seasons
Agalloch - The Mantle
Dordeduh - Dar De Duh

In the Woods...- HEart of the Ages
Neurosis - Through Silver in Blood
Graveland - Following the Voice of Blood

Diamond Head - Lightning to the Nations
DragonForce - Inhuman Rampage
Dream Theater - Images and Words
Symphony X - The Divine wings of tragedy
Rhapsoy of FIre - Symphony of enchanted lands
Possessed - Seven Churches
Sonata Arctica - Silence

Might seem a lil bit strange/unusual list of choices...

Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Beherit - Drawing Down the Moon
Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath
The Chasm - Deathcult
Pagan Altar - Volume I
Reverend Bizarre - In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend
Dead Can Dance - Within the Realm of a Dying Sun
Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny
Manilla Road - Crystal Logic
Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies

I tried to get a little bit from everything

Listening to metal doesn't seem to be something you're good at; perhaps sucking dicks behind a K-Mart might be more your thing?

I've already mastered that. Why not challenge myself? I listen to metal to be accepted on an internet forum, a struggle, yes, but also a mission of Rocky-esque proportions. One day I'm gonna make it.

Top 10 for all you heteros:

Adramelch - Irae Melanox
Artillery - By Inheritance
Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus
Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Fates Warning - The Spectre Within
Iron Maiden - Killers
Judas Priest - Sin After Sin
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Secrecy - Art in Motion
Watchtower - Energetic Disassembly

artillery by inheritance
coroner no more color
slough feg traveller
deathrow deception ignored
trouble - s/t

Very nice, all of those would make it to my top 11~30.

I can't even think of where to start. No album stands out as best of all time. Plenty of great albums sure.. but there are too many genres and albums to try and choose.
