Trivium

Wasn't there already a thread like this a few months ago? Whatever, this band isn't even worth discussing, in my opinion.

"trivium is the next metallica" -my friend

This might be why people don't like trivium or their fans...

See, The Crusade fucking sucks and Ember to Inferno is merely okay. Ascendancy is the only great disc they have and is probably one of the best metalcore albums ever.

The Crusade has a few good song, Ember To Inferno has a few good songs.

I laughed like a maniac when I first heard Anthem (We Are The Fire).

I'm leaving this open as technically it's not breaking any rules...yet.

However, Trivium sucks and is gay, and I hardly say that flat out about any bands. Fuck off Trivium.

First off, the music itself is mediocre bastardized thrash/metalcore. Matt Heafy's voice sucks. They would make a decent cover band.
Second, they act really fucking arrogant ("Trivium is the next Metallica").
Thirdly, they look like retarded emos.
Finally, I think they're trying to cover Master of Puppets so much that people think it was originally by them, as part of an overall plot to usurp all of Metallica's good songs.

Weigh this against absolutely no good points, and you get a strong dislike of the band. Give the band a huge record deal and lots of media coverage and you get hatred.

Because they call themselves metal and they aren't?

I'm glad this guy is the official decision maker on who is metal and who isn't...

Trivium gets hated on because Matt H. decided he loved Metallica so god damn much, that he wanted to be just like him. Removing the screaming from the songs...changing the style, singing like a talent show metallica cover band...corny ass lyrics...that is why they get hated on.

The music isn't good at all. I used to like Ascendancy a little but now I can't stand it. I can't really listen to metalcore anyway.

Meh, I can tolerate Unearth, Shadows Fall, and Lamb of God (even though they're not really metalcore).
