It isn't. Divine Intervention was very good. The new one was good and even Diabolous was decent. Really only GHUA was terrible and even that had a few good tracks.

I'll second that...it's just catchy in all it's corny simplicity.
I can't for the life of me picture people like St. Anger. Holy f#ck that isn't even music...just banging on pie tins. I think people are so desperate to like unpopular things that they are claiming to like even the trash of the trash.
I like Korn and Linkin Park.

Someone mentioned Deliverance...lol...I used to love them...especially What a Joke!
I'm surfing the net for them, and found 2 new albumns that aren't too bad. The music is sweet prog-metal, but the vocals are just too slow...kinda like Nevermore.

Iron Maiden - The X Factor
Anyone that doesn't like this is a stone cold faggot. Great musicianship, atmospheric production, honest songwriting. I love that Maiden made this dark album.

I'm going to go a bit reverse topic here, and say that South of Heaven has got to be the WORST Slayer album, courtesy of
Tom Araya's abysmally lackluster vocals. His intonation makes it sound like he's leading a exercise class.

Are you insane?! SOH is easily in their top 5 best cd's. GHUA is without a doubt the worst album they have released.

I'm pretty sure this album and is very popular and seen in a very positive light.
Also about South Of Heaven being the worst, you have to be kidding me! Yes the vocals are awful, but the songwriting and musicianship is Slayer at some of their finest.

the album is controlled mid-pace masterful thrash.

For the person who mentioned Fear Factory demanufacture, this album is probably one of the more popular 90's metal ablums and I would say it's one of those gateway albums into extreme music. People on some true metal boards are not going to talk about. I bet if you go on other boards it's highly praised. Fear Factory was one of the first bands to mix death metal with industrial. I can't think of any industrial death metal besides the first pitch shifter for the early 90's.
