unpopular albums that you really like

Atleast epitpah has a real drummer. Onset feels like a computer was the composer.

are you fucking kidding me? epitaph is awful! one of the most boring DM albums ever

I have cooled alot on my opinion of "onset", now I just think it is a moderately entertaining and very well played tech DM album...

Or maybe you're just sick of taking shit from all the tr00 metalheads on this forum...

Wanna hear my opinion? Eclipse is Amorphis's best album by far, their new vocalist is better than their other vocalist and the musicianship has much improved I love it! Can't wait to hear Silent Waters (if that's what the album's called) later this year *fingers crossed for it to be better than Eclipse*

 no I could care less what people here think. I used to love the album but now it kinda becomes tedious and predictable, I suppose it doesn't have very good replay value.

Exactly... its all style over substance. Which is why I was giving you shit over it before... honestly I don't care if you like it or not... I admit to liking less than 'great' music. It seems to me that their whole shtick is 'listen to how fast and complex we can play'! In other words its technical for the sake of being technical... not because the technical playing really makes the songs better. I've got no problem with technical playing or even shredding for that matter... so long as its not ALL that the band has to offer.

this is a pretty great album ;)

I'm preparing for a flaming here, but I got Job For A Cowboys debut; Genesis and it is pretty fucking good! I wouldn't even consider this deathcore, it's very much 90% brutal technical death metal.

No fucking way is Epitaph better than Onset Of Putrefaction. It's leftovers from onset and a restraint put on their ott tech death. Epitaph is so damn mediocre.

Diabolical Masquerade-nightwork,the phantom lodge. These albums seem unpopular to me.

I kinda like Amorphis' Eclipse, though I've heard a lot of mixed reviews and am not sure what the general populace here thinks of it.

I think it's a vast improvement over the few records that preceded it. Even though "Far From The Sun" and "Am Universum" had a lot of material that bored me, they've still written some excellent songs in their post-death metal years (the "My Kantele" EP is my favorite post-Tales recording).
