unpopular albums that you really like

Wanna hear my opinion? Eclipse is Amorphis's best album by far, their new vocalist is better than their other vocalist and the musicianship has much improved I love it! Can't wait to hear Silent Waters (if that's what the album's called) later this year *fingers crossed for it to be better than Eclipse*
For awhile I thought theyd never top ELegy, but they did with Eclipse. I love the new guys voice and cant wait for Silent Waters.

I'm going to go a bit reverse topic here, and say that South of Heaven has got to be the WORST Slayer album, courtesy of
Tom Araya's abysmally lackluster vocals. His intonation makes it sound like he's leading a exercise class.

:err:

I disagree, South of Heaven was good even though some of the songs could of been more intense like Reign In Blood. They successfully got down that evil vibe though.

A lot of people don't like Deicide, but I fucking love Deicide's album Once Upon the Cross

Deicide were inferior compared to how great the other major Florida death acts were but I admit their earlier work is bloody catchy.

I kinda like Amorphis' Eclipse, though I've heard a lot of mixed reviews and am not sure what the general populace here thinks of it.

I was blown away by it and notice people generally think it's great. It's not exactly a return to form, but the band still sounds very fresh and new for being around so long. Some bands with a certain ammount of albums just start to sound old. I picture Amorphis putting on some neat albums for another 10 years, they have a new one ready actually called silent waters and I just get the feeling it's going to be eclipse just better and more out there.

Well it is certainly not unpopular as a whole, both here and over at 235 Crimson Massacre's The Luster of Pandemonium seems to be hated for some reason.

Everyone in the world (that listens to Metal). If there's a general consensus on a given album of those who've heard it that it's generally shit, and you like it, that's when you post it here.
