unpopular albums that you really like

Haha Zephyrus I just love the way you talk you have got to have the best grammar out of just about anybody I ever met.

Well I'm glad I got something out of AP English. Today I was compelled to correct my classmate when he said "provokeshun" out loud when he meant "provocation".

I like a lot of "unpopular" albums, that it is popular for elitists and eletist-wanna-bes to shit on.

Watain - Sworn to the Dark (my favorite Watain album, believe it or not)
Satyricon - Now Diabolical (not their best, or black metal, but good)
Belphegor (generally people think all their material sucks)
Mayhem - Chimera (good blackened death, better than their new one)
Suffocation - Breeding the Spawn
Morbid Angel - Heretic

I also listen to a fair amount of brutal death and melodeath, two genres that seem to be widely reviled.

What do people generally think of Storm of the Light's Bane these days? 2 or 3 years ago I would have thought the general consensus would be that the album is redundant or even worthless ... but the shift in opinion seems to be people liking it??

I've never really been that interested in it (not that I think it's bad). I'd much prefer to listen to TS or albums such as Ancient God of Evil, Far Away from the Sun, Slaughtersun etc.

Same here, but none of those albums are brilliant anyway. Even TS is hard to listen to in its entirety in a single sitting.

I've owned the album for about a year and I think it's quite excellent. I rarely skip any SOTLB track that comes up on my playlist.

FAFTS is brilliant, I'd say. Slaughtersun not so much (though the debut is pretty damn awesome) and The Somberlain is the better of the two old Dissection albums.

I dont have Suffocation's Breeding the Spawn, so I wouldnt know but do people think its bad because of poor production? Heretic is alright Morbid Angel but they can do better.

Raunchy - Death Pop Romance
:p
Good album in my opinion, as are Velvet Noise and Confusion Bay.

My Dying Bride - The Light At The End Of The World - I dont see how so many people dislike this, I find it one of their best albums.
Anything by Rammstein - Catchy as hell
Megadeth - The World Needs A Hero - OK, so its not a Rust In Peace 2, but it's still got some decent songs on it and its easy enough to listen to as a whole
Anything by Isis - I really dont see the hate for these guys...
