The games were very exciting and close - both those of the U.S. and Canada. Both teams had the same problem, struggling offenses.

mmm, i dont remember when that went down. i just remember all of a sudden there was no season for a couple weeks and i found out they were all playing in the olympics. wasnt it about the same time the DREAM TEAM basketball freaks came up with a team? dont even remember when *that* was haha.
anyway, i dont know how theyd even come up with amateur hockey players. i mean, anyone good enough to draw a crowd is going to be in some kind of league.
one of the reasons im not impressed with the 1980 US team AT ALL is that they were a bunch of amateurs that didnt do shit afterwards. so, i dunno, i seem to have conflicting feelings here.

HAHAHAAAA...You do know, that the rules they use in Olympic-hockey are the ones they use in NHL these days? Now the real talented players can make it and the 130kg/210cm stupid fucks can't, the time of fighters is long gone in NHL. Like the Russian-team, they have really good and talented players there and that's why they win games.
