The guitar riff in the back totally disappears with VCC
I think you're confused. First one is WITH VCC and second one is WITHOUT. On the first one you can definitely hear that guitars much better

Vcc beta has been on every mix i have done since i got it.
This has probably been answered, but can you transfer (for free) licenses from an iLok1 to an iLok2? I don't want to deal with 2 dongle's .
Would be in for a group buy, probably going to purchase next week anyways, though.

Haha, I was transferring the licenses to the new iLok when Safari lost connection to the internet.. Fucked up both iLoks and I spent 4 hours restarting the mac and clicking "repair iloks" but the damn website wouldn't finish the repairing process. *sigh*Yep. Its done in seconds, did that for all my plugins
Wow, massive difference having VCC on and off that mix. I'm assuming you're driving that quite hard? Gives it a great fatness and saturation. Just sounds so much more like a record!
Yup =D Spot on.
For me, this is the BIGGEST appeal off VCC to me. I can mix like I imagine I would on an analog console. I like to slam the SHIT out of my channels and ESPECIALLY my mixbuss...
well, really only since having purchased the VCC beta.. that was always my tendency before but it always sounded awful to me (duh...)
now the DAW kind of BENDS like a console would!!! =D
STEVEN, i would LOVE TO UPDATE to 1.0 on my system but i'm TERRIFIED i will have to almost remix half of the current record i'm working on!
I'm on a XP SP3 system with Nuendo 4 (stable as hell on my system!). I know you are running a similar setup my question is:
is it possible to revert BACK to the beta 2.5 if I don't dig what 1.0 is doing to this particular mix? i'd first copy my current 2.5 beta .dll files to another location, delete them from my vstplugins folder, THEN INSTALL VCC 1.0 using the NEW INSTALLER....
i don't want to take the chance but my curiousity is killing me!!!!! =D
going to PM you this question, as well!
why do plugins always have installers?
i don't know how it works on a MAC but
on a windows machine it's just one .ddl file.
so why does it have to be installed?
why not just upload a rar of the dll file?
so everyone can just download the file and place it into the usual plugin folder,
download, delete old version, paste new version, done...
Not always, sometimes a runtime update of the language the plugin is witten in is required for the plugin to run correctly or there are presets or other associated files etc etc
Maybe its a fail safe in case non knowledgeable people dont copy/paste to the wrong place too.
Here you have the mix with and without VCC. Just import it into your daw and slice it up. First clip is with and then it is without. VCC is used on every channel except the master buss.

Crille, care to repost that comparison after fixing the guitars? Not exactly a fair comparison with a 6dB difference haha
P.S. been using VCC on everything since October
yeah, but none of the slate plugins seems to use any of this.
just made a system restart and copied the plugins in the
new vst folder...works. there were only a few plugins i tried in
the past few years that did not work this way.
cheers
