Alright, so I checked both out and would have to say I like Joanna Newsom a bit, but didn't like Devendra. Joanna's vocals remind me of Regina Spektor's.

don't get me wrong, devendra is great, but hella too-hyped. whereas joanna newsom gets no hype and is in fact twice as good as any of the reviews she gets. she's the best of anyone doing that style right now.
