Is the dvd version available in stores or do I have to order it somewhere and pay a lot more to do so?

It comes with the special edition, so yeah, you can get it in stores.

On the DVD there's quite a lot of good footage of them playing lots of the riffs, which I imagine would be very handy for someone trying to tab the stuff out.

its diminished.

Diminished is all minor 3rds, what you have there is a tritone. E (root) Bb (b 5th) E (root octave higher).

I want to upload what little I did of heir apparent so someone that has the dvd can check it, but I don't know of any file sharing services that won't give you gay download countdowns or "type how many cats are in the window" or whatever, seems retarded to have to use one of those on a 10k file but hey no attachments allowed on here :< Any ideas?

watch any live performance and see how it's not a tritone but a bar chord like walls pointed out.
