Poison are MUCH heavier especially as I said on that first album!
If you haven't heard "Look What The Cat Dragged In" then download it now and crank it loud!! That is one of the heaviest and meanest riffs ever no matter who plays it!
And Poison were always more guitar driven with a heavier guitar sound, nastier vocals, no keyboards, etc.

Spiff, Talk Dirty To Me is the dodgiest, stupidist, silliest most idiotic rock song ever. The riffs sound awful, the vocal lines are AWFUL, ugh I hate it!!! I don't blame people for hating Poison when all they saw on TV were gay songs like that.

Bon Jovi are much better songwriters, musicians, etc. In a completely higher league than Poison. However they are nowhere near as heavy!
Poison were guitar driven LA sleaze metal, Bon Jovi were keyboard soaked melodic arena rock. How are Bon Jovi heavier? And just look at them now too. Bon Jovi have been doing modern pop-rock and playing pop festivals, and Poison are still doing sleazy LA hard rock and playing the "Glam Slam Metal Jam" type festivals with other 80s metal bands.

I don't think Bon Jovi are now doing modern pop-rock... they haven't really changed their style at all. They've just adapted with the times, but you make it sound like they sold out instead of sticking to their roots... but they were always a level above Poison and the like in popularity and mainstream success.
No I agree Spiff. As I said to Spawn in that other post Bon Jovi were in a completely different league to Poison. They were melodic arena rock. And that is basically what they are now too. It's just that the popular rock of the '80s was hard rock and now it isn't so the hard rock element is very much gone.

I didn't say they'd sold out or even that it was bad how they are playing pop festivals now etc... I used that to highlight the difference between Poison and Bon Jovi. Poison being the hard rock/metal act and Bon Jovi being the mainstream rock act. Therefore meaning Poison are the heavier band.

Posion heavier than Bon Jovi, and now early Ratt, early Motley Crue and VV are more metal than Skid Row who released one of the greatest metal albums of all time?
