What do you see as a 'disgrace' to metal music? Why?

Where Eagles Dare, Revelations, Flight of Icarus, and To Tame a Land are so absurdly greater than any Omen song it's embarrassing to even try and compare Battle Cry to Piece of Mind.

Per M-A, there are 102,131 metal albums released after 1994. Do you think that there are more than 1000 metal albums over that time frame better than okay?

The Triumph of Steel is a killer album, imo. Power of my Sword, Demon’s Whip,Spirit Horse, Burning... heck, I even like The Achilles suite.

You know what sucks about metal? There are very few songs like this, and it’s not really metal:

And heck, sure, you can argue that isn’t metal, but we have such a little of this too:

It infuriates me when Metallica comes out at number one. Because then all the labels advise retarded bands, “oooh, write like Nu-Metallica”

I died a little the day Bieber trashed a Metallica and then Hetfield made a public reply where he basically said something like “please don’t hurt our feelings”

Heck, man. Get off the sinking ship while you can. The chicks don’t look at us, the corporations think we’re filthy losers with Long hair who they can exploit, the religious leaders say we listen to the devils music...

I think I need to start buying JayZ’s music and playing it backwards real loud. Ten to one the Illuminati will hear it on my bugged gps enabled device and i’ll be coopted into one of their circles within circles on earth, having a good time just waiting to be cast into one of the circles of hell.

So why didn't you just say that to begin with?

Also why limit the idea to albums? Demos, EPs, splits, they should all count if we're talking about metal as a whole.

Why didn't I say what to begin with?

Sure, go ahead, that will only lower the percentage of quality works if anything.

That my low standards aren't your problem.

Sure, go ahead, that will only lower the percentage of quality works if anything.

Maybe, but this is the goal you set, not me:

I think I could find well over 1000 better than okay releases since 1994 if we include all formats.

Actually I'm too generous and willing to give the benefit of the doubt to you lying fucks sometimes. My initial claim was 99% of releases, not 1000 releases (which I only mentioned when looking at albums specifically). Adding demos and stuff does nothing to improve that percentage.

I average about 10 metal releases that I'd call better-than-OK from 2006 through 2009.

Your ability to shift the goalposts on yourself isn't my problem. :D

To your initial claim it's similarly debunked, all I'd have to do is demonstrate that actually it's only 98% or 97% of metal post-1994 that is [insert whatever criticism here].

I average about 10 metal releases that I'd call better-than-OK from 2006 through 2009.

10 albums for each year between 2006 to 2009 or 10 albums in total within those years?
