i can't understand a thing of the stuff, but she's way into it. if there was any connection with your studies i'd tell you to take her exam. ;)
unfortunately there isn't any connection. i seriously wanted to study chemistry at the uni, but that was 2 years ago and my mind has changed a bit. anyway, i used to know the periodic table by heart.

when I'm bored, I sometimes do this quiz there :D http://chemlab.pc.maricopa.edu/periodic/periodic.html

my mom works at the austrian mint and is a responsible for the minting/embossing of regular coins (Euros these days) and special editions of gold- and silver coins (for collectors mainly).

edit: I don't know my father, so I have no idea what he's doing

My dad does some computer-related stuff and my mother is some kind of a social worker

Whoa, the same here - you must be my long-lost brother!

Or then not. ;)

But my father is an architect (and these days all their drawings are done by computer) and my mother is a real social worker (specialized in children).

"What did your parents?"

Well, they did a big mistake one day in 1978, and the consequence of that is a being that never asked anything (if he could ever, as he wouldn't exist) and now suffers like shit in this world of shit, all of this because two selfish persons wanted to perpetuate the human race.

God, I really feel like shit today.

...it won't cheer me up a little as I don't even know wtf is an armadillo. The only things that could cheer me up now are a bottle of pastis and a bottle of Xanax pills.

My dad is a super agent under cover. So everyone thinks he's a mechanic.

clever! but i suspect your mom is in fact a kgb infiltrate sent to spy on your father, and you have been conceived as part of an experiment on... on... on prolonging life expectancy for undercover agents suffering from multiple armadillo wounds!

(go wild with your own) rahvin.

My mum works at the same office as my stepdad.. since they happened to start it.... seven years (or so) ago. (Which happens to be next to our house  My parents are always at home!! Horrid.)
However, my dad (unfortunately) works in the same branch. (graphic (?) machines etc, you know presses n stuff, for newspapers etc) but he is a "fitter" (? weird dictionary I got here..). So sometimes, he has to work for them (but indirectly, always!) It makes me.. feel uncomfortable. (and him, obviously) *sigh* ah well..
My stepmom doesnt do much.. Takes care of my two other evil little half brothers. And learning Dutch. (I suppose)

Kinda boring around here, really. :p
Nothing scientific.

Mother: Teaches chemistry at the university ( sadly, since is the public university, she makes nothing )

Father: Manager of the city for a small imports company called Valdez Import. Sadly is so small that he also makes nothing.
