what guitar does mikael use?

In live pics I've seen him using a PRS, but I haven't a clue as to whether its a custom or not. Either way, Paul Reed Smith makes some nice fucking guitars.

for recording he used a PRS CE24 and a Gibson Les Paul Custom.
These should be the guitars he is using at the moment/before the recording of the new albums started.

Peter used a white Jackson RR1 when I saw them, but in other pictures he's been seen with a PRS and a Les Paul.

All I gosta say is the boys in Opeth have some DAMN fine gear.

As far as I know, Mikael and Peter both used Jackson RR-1s in the older days (probably around Orchid times and before), but very rarely today.

Hahah, no dude, I had to compress the picture to let it be used as my UM Avatar. My finger is nice and thick, and very useful for all the unmentionable male responsibilities

He uses a PRS Custom 24 live and a PRS CE24 in the studio. The only difference is that the custom has a set neck and the CE is a bolt-on.

In both of these guitars he uses Seymour Duncan Full Shred pickups, in both the neck and bridge postions.


Personally, I think the Jackson RR's were much better... At least they stayed in fucking tune. (anyone who was at the birmingham show should know what im on about...)
