What has Katatonia done for you?

write your reviews and give us any pics you have, oh and welcome to the board.

Second that!
Oh _Transparent_, by the way, I just wanted to apologize for the fact I used 'ass' in my review instead of 'arse' (-> poll at Hate Pit)

 I just called Ouchy and he won't forgive me until 666 candles spilt their hot wax all over me :err:
In addition, he's planning to shave me afterwards
Now my only hope is that Transparent will be lenient and puts in a good word :loco:

they have shown me a way to escape, a feeling that is beyond good or evil, happy or sad. "Discouraged ones",the album which i love the best, fills me with an empty feeling, it has such a vastness. It's quite hypnotical i think. On this album i think Jonas does best at expressing his feelings through his singing, for example in "deadhouse" when he sings "somehow better without this headlights fuck the city". This album is so important to me,i just love this band.

i think there's footprints on the ceiling!! LOOK BEHIND YOU!

I don't mean dark music is popular. Obviously I fucking mean popular with people like us...

Work with me here dickhead.

Hmmm... they meant not as much as Dark Tranquillity, to me, but I still love Tonight's Decision as a great album to listen when I'm relaxed.
As far as other, more depressive/obsessive albums go, I play them when I feel depressed. So I eventually reach the bottom of my sadness and only then do I find the strenght and willingness to emerge from it. It's only when you touch the bottom that you really find the strenght to want to come up.

Also: They are one of the few bands really having Style left. That's their greatest importance to me.

Hi, this is my first post
Well... It may sound exaggerated, but since the first chords of a Katatonia song stroke my eardrums, my life changed. I had been dwelling in the surface of everything before that day: I had never felt real sadness, nor real emptyness... No music had ever transported me so much, and no other group has linked better my emotions with what they played.

Actually, Katatonia kind of snaps me out of depression when I'm feeling sad because it kind of sends the message that I'm not the only person out there who has some problems in their life.
