What is your favorite genre(s) of metal?

What about progressive metal jw.

I'm not a huge fan; the only prog-metal bands I can say I enjoy are Symphony X, Dream Theater (only a couple albums), and Opeth (whom I usually define as death metal). I also do not actively seek out new prog-metal bands/albums, so I don't really consider it a favorite genre.

Actually I put them in the "they were never good but people seem to think there was actually ever something special about them" genre.
