you know for a fact that africans "invented" music?

invented is a stupid word i know, i could not come up with a better one...
nope i don´t know for a fact, but it has been speculated through times and seems most likely...but my point is that WHOEVER invented music is more important than the beatles :p

I don't know about a top 10 of all-time, but we will go with what I am listening to now. (No order)

Opeth - Still Life
Anekdoten - Gravity
Paatos - Silence of Another Kind
Dungen - Ta Det Lugnt
Caravan - In the Land of Grey and Pink
Sigur Rós - Takk...
Agalloch - The Mantle
Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies
Michael Hedges - Aerial Boundaries
and err...
Morte Macabre - Symphonic Holocaust (haven't heard the entire thing yet)

well since this is a "list your favorite 10 albums" thread and not "the top 10 albums of all time", I'll jump in

Pink Floyd - "Wish You Were Here"
Pink Floyd - "Dark Side of the Moon"
Radiohead - "OK Computer"
Radiohead - "Kid A"
Nektar - "A Tab in the Ocean"
Ulver - "Teachings in Silence"
Paatos - "Timeloss"
The Beatles - "Revolver"
Jethro Tull - "Benefit"
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - "Lift Your Skinny Fists..."

hmm, I think that's basically a list of albums that is in my scope that I never have a problem listening to no matter what mood I'm in, or at least in the moods I'm more frequently in lately... like they're great common or middle ground if I'm not sure what I really want to listen to
