Dumbass, all of those punk bands are very mainstream and very well known.

by the way, i dont even hate punk, i was just wondering why it wasnt listed, since many people hate it, if i knew that assholes like you would take everything too seriously, i wouldn't have asked...

can't say anything without ignorant people freaking out at you

A non wellknown punk band?

Well... most grindcore bands are not well known and grindcore is a subgenre of hardcore which is a subgenre of punk, so bands like The Locust, Discordance Axis, and that ilk are very little known punk bands.

Also, if you suggested that punk and country should have been on a list of the possible choices of worst genres when that list was obviously very incomplete and based upon one person's tastes, then you are singling out that you don't like these particular styles of music yourself.

The Locust
"Gluing carpet to your genitals does not make you a cantaloupe"
- one of the best song titles ever.

As for the difference between hip hop and rap, I see what you're saying...I don't think there is that big of a difference.

Hip hop teh lose.

Because punk and country kick ass!

Wait, wait, wait... you fucking sheep... you don't even know any non-mainstream punk or country, do you? Fucking grow a brain, simp.

Johnny Cash just covered a Nine Inch Nails tune titled "Hurt" and I bet he is in his 70's. That has to take balls the size of watermelons. There are some "real" folk based country artists out there with something to say. Willie Nelson (while he can't sing for shit) can play the shit out of an acoustic guitar as well. I personally am not a fan of country music, but their are some real artists out there in the genre.
Unfortunately the new "modern country" is absolutely the best example of watered down pop music. The "industry" finds good looking guys and girls that can sing fair, throws cowboy hats on them and gives them songs written by someone else to perform. Artists should have something to say, even if they are doing little more than condensing books (common with some metal bands) or bitching about law enforcement (common with rap.) The "modern" country artists are just barely above Milli-Vanilli or however you spell it.

If you think country is all bad, I suggest these artists:

Anything Uncle Tupelo has done is great, but try their album Anodyne. Their lyrics might seem a bit trite as they deal with rural life, factories, pollution, boredom, and poverty... but Jay Farrar is so earnest that it makes it that much more fun.

Holopaw are an excellent acoustic country band with some mild nonobtrusive electronics. Sort of similar to what Radiohead would sound like as a country band.

Iron & Wine are a pure acoustic country band, only an acoustic guitar and vocals for the most part. Very emotional, dark, and beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone who likes acoustic music, and the vocals are wonderful.

Neko Case is an excellent female country singer, her music is a bit more old school but it is still very excellent.

Thanks for the suggestions, but i think i will stick to rock and metal. while country may have many talented artists, and great vocalists, i usually find myself annoyed by the acoustic guitar melody's and sometimes dull lyrics

Dance/Techno - Maybe some of it's alright but of it just pisses me off. Same beat over and over...
Porno Grind - A bad joke that got out of hand.
Pop Punk - An insult to Punk Rock and Hardcore. This trend with bands like Sum 41 needs to die now.
Japanese Rap - American rap is bad enough but this shit is fucking horrible. It's a bunch of Japanese kids trying to act black and "gangsta". It's groups like Dragon Ash. If you want to make me commit suicide go play one of their songs for me.

Japanese Rap

Yes Pop punk is extremely cruel, such whiney little biatches! Sum 41 and Greenday are bareable, actually I rather like listening to some of their stuff.

Jap Rap :tickled: Have you seen Blade the movie? They have these jap girls rapping, the funnyist thing I ever heard in my life. Had me rolling so for that, for one song once in a while can be entertaining in a comedy kinda way.
