Who is *NOT* available in 2008.....

I hear Riverside is available..

I also hear that Andre Matos is available, as well as Mercenary, Circus Maximus, Dark Empire and Nocturnal Rites. Just a few things I heard.... ;)

So Elvenking is a distinct possibility so far... I also wouldn't mind seeing Mercenary back, as Rose said...

but i'm all about Iron Fucking Savior this next year.

There's some VICIOUS rumors around my block telling me, and you know... I'm not one to gossip, but these rumors seem legit...

I'm hearing that Venturia, Thessera, and Symetrica are all very interested and available to open up the festival.

I also still have my plan in tact to kidnap Daniel Gildenlow and bring him over to the US if you're interested in booking Pain of Salvation.

Symetrica have a lot of potential, and are probably the best local metal band here in LA. I hope to see a full-length from them soon. :headbang:

I'm very glad Danny G. And The Salvation Pains will not be returning to the US anytime soon though. :puke:

Wait... Did PPVIII already happen and it totally slipped my mind? *explodes*

And now to start 1 of the 6 Royal Hunt threads we will see until the next roster is official.

1. Tarot- Marco will be touring with Nightwish all of 2008.
*SIGH*. Maybe in 2009? :)
I certainly like Nightwish, but I like Marco's work in Tarot even better! :headbang: :kickass:
To ease the pain, Tarot's 25th anniversary gig on aug 17. in their hometown Kuopio was shot on video with 7 cameras. The DVD with a lot of extras, plus additional and rare material collected along the years will be released sometime next year, but the producers can't give any date yet.

The setlist of the jubilee gig was:

Crows fly black
Traitor
Pyre of Gods
Wings of darkness
Back in the fire
Tides
Bleeding dust
Veteran of the psychic wars
Crawlspace
Angels of pain
Warhead
Follow me into madness
Before the skies come down
Ashes to the stars
Undead son
You
-----------------
Rider of the last day
I rule

and it took well over two hours. Too bad I couldn't get there myself, but I saw them a week before in Kouvola and they were more than awsome.

Here is a set of pictures which I took at the Kouvola gig on Aug 10.

I've been guilty of it as well, but I think it's pretty funny that, no matter what Glenn posts, what follows is a flash mob list of favorite bands to play the fest.

Glenn: "I have a hangnail"

Forum response: "You know what a great cure is? Book Pain of Salvation for 2009 !!!!"

:heh:

Maybe that offbeat super awesome band called VOLBEAT, or maybe DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA, or maybe MACHINE MEN

quote-Every response after the OP-/quote

Maybe this thread should be about bands you think SHOULD be unavailable in 2008? For chrissakes there are enough hopes and dreams threads on this forum!

And yeah I am guilty of that as well.

Dead Soul Tribe for PP 9?
:saint:

Hahahaha.

While I personally love Pretty Maids, I don't think they would have much drawing power, I would say a 3 slot, right in the middle.
I'd agree. However, I'm really curious to hear woosta's opinion, as he's the resident PM fanboy on this board.

I suspect they'd be in a similar situation as Virgin Steele; extensive/quality discography, not much drawing power, 2nd band of the night.

I second Woosta's suggestion......PRETTY F'in MAIDS!!! This is the one band I need to see live before I leave this earth.

Choice #2 for me - Nocturnal Rites
