Who is the guitar god of death metal?

Death is one of my favorite bands, and I think Chuck is a good guitarist, but I have to agree with whoever said that he had a tendency to find 2nd guitarists that outshined him.

My vote for guitar god of death metal would be Trey Azagthoth.

Peter Lake from 'Theory in Practice'

Everyone should own a copy of 'colonising the sun' and 'the armageddon theories'

Also, don't talk down Chuck unless you can back up your filthy mouth with some filthy good riffage.

MacMoney. What fuckin awesome band are you in?

Is it better than Death?:Spin:

Are you playing sold out shows all over the globe?

Bobby Koeble did some great fucked up sounding leads on Symbolic...
Respect goes to Chuck and Bobby.

Muhammed Suicmez certainly deserves a bump

as much as I thoroughly enjoy Krisiun's music though, I wouldn't say Moyses Kolesne is a timeless DM guitarist. I think he's got consistently great riffs, distinctive solos and he's very talented....but as a songwriter he really hasn't explored/progressed much within Krisiun.

Uh...Dino Cazares? Riffing speed/palm muting/heaviness = HE WINS

I don't like a lot of these bands, but:

Trey Azagthoth
James Murphy
Chuck Schuldiner
Terrence Hobbs and Doug Cerrito
Cryptopsy's guitarists
Vehemence's guitarists
Jesper Stromblad
Bill Steer and Mike Amott
At The Gates's guitarists

VITAL REMAINS' guitarist tony i believe is the best death metal guitarist...he surpasses all.

Erik Rutan
Rutan isn't that great......Morbid Angel went downhill with him and Hate Eternal sucks, I am not familiar with his work with Ripping Corpse though...I respect him cause he is a hell of a guitar player he just doesn't write interesting songs
