Why does Mikael hate Moog?

I heard that he does because many progressive bands use it. Well, if you ask me, that's not a reason to HATE it. I wonder if there's a better reason. I'm curious, because I love the sound of Moog and would like to hear it on some Opeth album.

I'm not sure but I doubt that The Doors ever used any type of synths in their music. The only thing I ever heard on their stuff was a standard Hammond Organ and the occaisional piano. Amorphis uses Hammond on a few songs as well,("Crimson Wave" is a good example).

Most bands use the Moog because of its versitile waveform manipulation ability. One of the sounds on the newest Amorphis records that is probably a Moog would be the synth sound that starts off the song "Alone".
