Forget the brutal, forget the insane pace, forget the darkness. Just try to see the energy and passion. I figure that's why you like metal in the first place.




I've always wanted to see bands that blend hardcore with metal in new ways. I figure most bands feel like they have to fit a scene though.

Nothing rips like metal. But nothing can get you amped like hardcore.

Actually, yes, I fall into that group. I fall into a strange area of metal whereby my tastes are pretty much crusty hardcore, death and black metal.

To date, Slayer is probably still by far the best punk-influenced metal band. Sorry, modern metalcore. Nobody likes you.

Crust and Black are closely intertwined, at least old black metal. Some Metalcore is good.
