Why Katatonia isn't "more" popular, is truly beyond me...?

Ah... Okay then.)
And does it matter? Depends on what the band as a whole wants I guess. If they desire to grow and become more popular then stagnation could be frustrating enough to stop making music at all. But I don't think that's the case. So, conclusion(??):
On the basis of their music they should be more popular, but in the end it doesn't really matter.

the point should be it doesn't matter,
nevertheless sometimes when a band gets higher popularity it pisses me off. one see and hear it everywhere and thus may get bored. but it's rare..

BMD is an unearthly album
Discouraged one sounds more depressive than other clean vox albums (and also the best lyrics ever-written)
and if you only listen VE (for me the worst kata album although it is superb too) you must immidiately own discouraged ones, tonight's decision,Brave murder day, sounds of decay
ep songs like
quiet world
sulphur

are masterpieces too
