Words to live by

another one... nothing to live by but it's (kinda funny)

there are 10 kinds of people:
* those who understand binary
* and those who don't

random new model army quote:

The natives are restless tonight, sir
Cooped up on estates with no hope in sight
They need some kind of distraction
We can give them that
'Cause they'd die if they only had something to die for
They'd kill if they only had something to kill for
They'd cheer if they only had something to cheer for
Yeah we can give them that

So it's off to war we go (I couldn't believe it)
Bring out all the flags (I never believed it)
Fight the good fight

written in 1982 and still so true

I know a version: "Kokeile kaikkea, paitsi sukulaisia ja jääpuikkoa perseessä" go figure ;)

NP: Borknagar - The Archaic Course - Universal

I've always used "Kokeile kaikkia paitsi isää, veljeä, vaaria ja mummoa."

Mine is almost like Villain's. "Every extreme sucks."

Non-geeks have a real hard time getting this one... most people don't know what the hell a binary is, I guess ;)

Life is a unfinished game and no patches are available.

along these lines:
life is like new computer games: the story is boring, but the graphics are just kick-ass.

@ sal
don't call me geek! ;) :zombie:
call me 1337 h4x0r :)

?wrong thread?
anyway, a quote sprang to my mind all of a sudden:

everything counts in large amounts (DM)

"It is better to live in a garret in a prominent neighbourhood than a palace in the ghetto"

"I never used to get many dates. My parents didn't like any of the guys I bought home... even the ones who were still alive."

@hyena: Not the millionth person to tell me. Other DG fans occasionally talk about Cohen's music, but they mostly recommend Van Morrison. I've heard little of either, but may check them both out soon. :)

"it's not heights which frighten me, it's the floor, that's the one which kills you"

"death is nature's way to tell you to slow down"

fv (who has been living by qoutes for too long now)

Which one is better?

"I have my grandfather's axe. My Father replaced the handle and I replaced the blade. Is it still my Grandfather's axe?"

or

"I've seen my Grandfather's ass. He tried to light a fart and needed Reconstructive Plastic surgery to fix it. Is it still my grandfathers ass?"

Steve's stupid thought for the day.
