Yep. St Anger sucks.

I somewhat agree with Phloggy. I really like the vocals, I don't think they need to be changed, but when I say better production, I really mean the drum sound and actually having the bass in the mix. The guitars aren't too bad. I like the way they kind of fade in and out and stuff. I agree that with better production it would be more boring, which is why I think most songs need a chop down and/or to be restructured.

I've got to agree that the drums are a huge part of the problem. Invisible Kid being the best example of how bad Lars can sound.

I listened to it again with what Blitzy said in mind. I was thinking about the bass, but the album is so detuned already that the guitars are down where the bass should be anyway, so I'm not sure there was much more they could do with it.

Which made me think about the drum sound, and that's about the same problem that the drums would have if they didn't sound the way they sound. If they weren't tuned as high as they are then the whole lot would have just sounded muddy and awful and have no drive at all. So now I like drums too.

(here's where we see if steam actually comes out of spawny's ears)

Its not the greatest of Albums , but I think they were just trying to be up to date , why stick to a formula , just release Master of Puppets 2 , or back into Hell (Meat loaf) Before you start I like Meat Loaf singer & food .

I saw a couple of songs off it live, and they sounded pretty good and heavy. Shame the album is a piece of shit. If it had listenable production and was edited a lot, it could be half-decent.
