Your 10 Favorite Albums

No order

Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Camel - The Snow Goose
Dredg - El Cielo
Tool - Lateralus
Led Zeppelin - II
My Morning Jacket - Z
Rx Bandits - ...And the Battle Begun
Porcupine Tree - In Abentia
In Flames - The Jester Race

Any of those could change at any time, but it might as well be those right now

Edit: had to put a camel album in there

fair nuff'
some people say they rip off porcupine tree but i dont see it
so how bout porcupine can we all agree that they are legendary at this point?

PT are good musically, but i can't stand S. Wilson's vocals. Riverside are much better in that point, overal a phantastic band. Katatonia and Anathema are brilliant.

Anathemas best album for me in terms of emotional quality has to Eternity. Amazing sorrowful tunes and lovely guitar playing. Although unfortunately, the drums are little too high in the mix, which does take away the mood at times, which is a shame.

Dont all kill me at once but...
the only good stuff to me is from alternative 4 and up
they're early stuff is lacking the desperation and emotion that judgement creates

right now

opeth - blackwater park
goldfrapp - felt mountain
morbid angel - heretic
tv on the radio - desperate youth and bloodthirsty babes
steve reich - you are (variations)
pat methany - the way up
miles davis - kind of blue
gentle giant - free hand
camel - snowgoose
the mars volta - deloused

I can understand you not being a fan of SW's vocals, but Riverside certainly aren't any better. Obviously a matter of taste, but I'm surprised you'd actually put Riverside ahead of PT in the vocals department.

Lead singer of riverside has an amazing voice...possibly better than Wilsons.
But overall they cannot touch PT's diversity and innovativeness(is that a word?)
