Looking forward to getting :

Down III
Woods III

Just got in Devin Townsend's The Hummer... this is the first DT-related thing I've bought in years! And I can't really give a full opinion of it yet because I always put it on when I'm going to sleep (as is recommended) and I always nod off before the end. :) Although I remember the morse code was creeping me out a little.

Also downloaded Alcest - Le Secrets. Not gonna pay some ridiculous amount on eBay for it. ;) Only listened to it once so far, don't like it as much as Amesoeurs (or as much as the newer Alcest tracks on MySpace).

The following albums by Novembre:

Arte Novecento
Classica
Novembrine Waltz
Dreams d'Azur

They're a band that I've only really got into recently, so i had some catching up to do. It felt like Christmas had come early (or late) with all of them arriving within a week of each other :)
Based on everyones comments so far, I'll certainly have to check out the new Dark Tranquility.

Novembrine Waltz and Dreams d'Azure are great albums.

Suffocation-Pierced From Within
Suffocation S/T

I really like Pierced From Within, it's just a riff-o-rama the whole album,, which is good.

Awesome band. They are touring North America in Septemeber. I think they will be hitting Toronto and I plan on catching them for sure.

Novembre is great, i don't think they're quite as well known as they should be. That said, there's probably plenty of people on this board that appreciate their music. It'd be great to see them live, it's a pity they won't be making it to my part of the world anytime soon (or ever).

New album purchases:
David is sending me Against the Seasons shortly - to quote David, i can finally "delete my fizzy MP3's". Also i've (finally) put my pre-order in for Woods III.

Picked up the other Martyr albums I didn't have (Warp Zone, Hopeless Hopes) and also got Drudkh-Forgotten Legends, Drudkh-Autumn Aurora.

enslaved-ruun

ensiferum-victory songs

the enslaved is great, all that i expected and more, not to sure about the ensiferum though, being new to the band, plus having heard wintersun before i heard ensiferum, the band my have lost something when they lost the vocalist, i cant comment on previous ensiferum albums, but victory songs is middle of the road at best for this genre of high paced folk metal

I love the new Ensiferum album! it took a few listens butI think its really great, 9 out of 10 maybe. and yes, RUUN was awesome as well

Some of my latest purchases are soon to be Virgin Black "Requiem - Mezzo Forte" (hopefully the ltd ed if I can get a hold of it) and Demiurg "Breath of the Demiurg". Both very much amazing albums in their own right.
Oh, and I like the new Dimmu Borgir "In Sorte Diaboli" a lot as well, unfashionable as that statement may be. Or may not, who cares. It's a great album to both listen to and look at. I'll be adding that to my collection as well.
