Your latest album purchases?

I like Dark Adrenaline a lot actually. All the songs run together on the first listen, then in the second listen they stand out a bit more, the in the third listen the cd starts to kick ass and so on and so on.

I've never listened to any of their material before Comalies and I didn't hear much from their two previous releases. So all I have to go by is Comalies and Dark Adrenaline and from what I've read, those two albums are the best of their more 'modern' era as a band.

I go with a '5 listen rule' before I decide what I think about a CD. Essentially, all I do is listen to it all the way through 5 times. I find I like most things now, since if you give a cd you don't initially like a few more chances, you start to pick up on what makes each song good and it usually ends up growing on you.

Exactly that, it is amazing. It is easily in my top 5 albums of the year so far, and their best album since Empiricism. I would highly recommend picking it up.

Just picked up this album today. I've only listened to it once so far and I'm very pleased with what I hear. A LOT is going on on this album, which is pretty exciting because it gives me something to discover with each listen.

I love albums like this.

Spent quite alot of money at a festival and on a trip to Iceland, so there wasn't alot left for music. Also trying to cut down a bit over the coming months. I have to show my bank that I'm responsible with my money... Hoping to get a loan for a house.

Not an album, but got this today. Just $10 at a garage sale. Was $1000 when it came out 16 years ago!!!

^ Garage sales fricking rule. I got an old record player with both box speakers and it sounds amazing. Same model my Dad had at one point. It was made in around 1979-1980 and was top of the line at the time. They must have been thinking ahead of thier time because the output unit itself has an aux input. So now, I have it hooked up to my DVD player for awesome sound

Oh and it cost me 2 dollars.

The guy I got the tape recorder from also had 2 double DAT tape recorders at $20 bucks each. Never got that old school though
Oh ýeah, got a Johnny Cash LP and and a Phil Collins LP at the sale too, $8 total. It was a total coincidence that I came by, by the way...
