Your top 6 metal albums

Not in any order, nor official, but it looks somthing like this:

Drudkh - Blood In Our Wells
Opeth - Morningrise (last good opeth album)
Agalloch - Pale Folklore
Enslaved - Isa or Below The Lights (undecided)
Arcane Sun - S/T
Skepticism - Farmakon

Well, fuck, it's to hard to make a list, considering I left out Darkthrone, Burzum and a million other good releases.

How do you justify that Morningrise was the last good album?
A ridiculous statement.

I guess I'll do the top 6 of this year so far:

As will I (but I won't order them until year's end):

Watain - Sworn to the Dark
Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diaboli
Marduk - Rom 5:12
Deathspell Omega - Fas - Ite, Maledicti, In Ignem Aeternum
Behemoth - The Apostasy
Abigor - Fractal Possession

Because every album after that is just boring. My Arms Your Hearse is ok, but thats about it. Everything they released after is drab sounding and vapid chord progressions that sound the same. Morningrise and Orchid outshine anything else they've done, riff wise, atmosphere, song writing, and the music as a whole.

Carcass-Necroticism
1349-beyond the apocalypse
Acid Bath-When The Kite String Pops
Gorgoroth-Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam
Marduk-Rom 5:12
At The Gates-Slaughter of The Soul

not necesarily in that order

1. Heathen - Victims of Deception
2. Exodus - Bonded By Blood
3. Artillery - By Inheritance
4. Cryptopsy - None so Vile
5. Intestine Baalism - Banquet in the Darkness
6. Death Angel - The Ultra Violence

Really, the list is so long, 6 ain't enough...
nice list! :headbang::kickass: your 1-3 are in my top 10 thrash of all time

If you havn't heard Morningrise, I suggest picking it up, because you will realize how boring their later releases are when compared to it.

It's on my list of ones to get, but I have to special order that disc while the others I want I can get by taking a trip to the store 5 mins from my house.

True, you'll be really surprised how different sounding it is form later releases.
btw, I don't do any drugs.

A really big old school black metal fan told me the three best Opeth albums are Morningrise, Still Life and BWP. Morningrise gets a lot of hype on here, so I will pick that up asap. I really need to get some DsO as well since they are being talked about a lot lately.

1. From Mars to Sirius from Gojira
2. The Mantle from Agalloch
3. Back to the Times of Splendor from Disillusion
4. Elvenfris from Lykathea Aflame
5. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son from Iron Maiden
6. Hangman's Hymn from Sigh
