2000 Decibel forum-meeting

Nooooo! Even if I recieved a nice amount of money yesterday and got pretty drunk, it was one of those dreadful days. I got a call from the staff behind the 2000 Decibel festival, and they said that the bus from Malmö, Lund and Helsingborg had been cancelled!

Apparantly, me and my friend were the only two that was interested from the southern parts of Sweden. They were kind enough to give us the tickets for free, but now we have no idea how to get there. Therefore, I throw this question out on the web:
Anyone from the southern parts of Sweden or Denmark going to drive up to Bengtsfors and have two seats available, we´re there! Possibility no. two is for us to get to Gothenburg and hope that we can catch a ride with someone from there. Incredibly interested in other possibilites as well.
I´ve wanted to see Vintersorg since 1999, and now when I finally have the oppurtunity and even a ticket, it looks as if it wont happen. This is my last desperate cry for help!!!

huh, that seriously sucks, Draugen. What about the festivalbus going from Göteborg? Aren't there any seats left? You would just have to get to Göteborg somehow (shouldn't be that much of a problem)

I will be driving up to Bengtsfors starting from Göteborg but I will be already going a day earlier. I also won't go back anywhere near Göteborg or the south of Sweden before monday after the festival.
Did I say I'm driving? I couldn't even arrange a hire car yet

It's probably going to be my private little adventure hunting for a car once I'm in Göteborg

oh, thats a fucked up situation....well there shouldn´t be any problem to get there if u have enought money, but if u don´t.....i really don´t know.

Well, the thing is that if we were to travel from our hometown (Karlshamn) to Bengtsfors, we have to change between busses and trains over 8 times so that's out of the question. I am going to look up the cheapest way to get to Gothenburg. But does anyone know the quickest way to get to Bengtsfors from Gothenburg (besides riding a car)? Some webpage which contains information of traffic from G-burg?

From Göteborg you can go by train to either Mellerud or Åmål and take the bus from there. Takes some time though.

Whatabout www.swebusexpress.se they have some nightbusses from malmö to gothenburgh, and then why don´t u take the festivalbus from gothenburgh? Or maybe that was what you meant? But how to get from karlsham to malmö i have no idea.

I talked to the chef today and told him we're awaiting his instructions in regard of a meeting point

Though right now it seems we won't be too many anyway :/

Yep, it seems as if it will be OK. We´re going to take the train to Malmo on the 16th, sleep at a friends place there, then take the bus to Gothenburg. From there on, we´re a bit lost still, but I am a bit more confident that things will sort out alright now...
Cause actually I was a bit drunk when I wrote that desperate cry for help...

haha.......well, I'm offically lost now as well.
I tried....but I will not have a hire car - thanks to not having a credit card. I always wanted to travel by public transport on my holiday *sigh*
