Listening to "Thin Shell" by October Tide for the 3rd time. This is the first of any October Tide I've ever heard and GODAYUM, this albums is fantastic.

I know I'm biased, but Eye of the Enemy's 'Weight of Redemption' deserves a mention here. Pretty sure it's my fave metal release of the year.

And that's about it, Paul Gilberts new album wasn't very memorable 'cept for the title track. The new Dimmu album was pretty cool too I guess.

Compared to last year I think this year has been a bit crap for metal albums. October Tide - A Thin Shell and Dark Tranquillity - We Are The Void are the only two that really come to mind.
