I think In Flames's setlists after R2R came out were garbage, I can't imagine after STYE comes out, everything from Clayman and up will only be played, and maybe like 2 songs from clayman and 5 each from STYE and R2R to please the new fans. So will anyone be going to the STYE tour?

I definately will be once I get the chance...
I know you are dissapointed...I am too, but not alot...maybe the band is going through some intense emotional situations or something and that is what their music reflects...look at passenger for instance...you ever read the lyrics...almost all the songs have something tied to personal experience I'm pretty sure. Plus I love the electronics in their music alot...anyhow I hope you get what I'm trying to point out...I'm not really good at explaining...

keep the flames lighting dude...

Cheers!

Alot of In Flames' lyrics have been deep and thoughtful and even personal in the past. They have just regressed now to catering for the Hot Topic crowd that will go, "Hey! I have problems too! My mom only bought me 9 pairs of size 76 cargo pants and they only had 20 zippered pockets, not 25. Man fuck her and her opressive rule. (walks into Hot Topic blasting Korn or Staind or SlipBizkit on his 200 dollar discman. As he enters The Quiet Place is being played over the sound system) Heyyyy what are they playing over the speakers? Sounds intense, sounds like he must like Jonathan Davis and I love those riffs!. Oooohhh my head is my quiet placetoo, where I go to escape the evil tyranny of the world, let me check this out! hooray!"
And so In Flames has another fan ensnared in their new target audience.

lolololol, finally someone who feels the same way.

Well, since you asked...

In Flames are definitely my favourite band of all time, so if they come to my country I will go to see them no matter what. However, if I'd have to haul my ass over to Sweden for a show, then I'll only shoot the works if STYE turns out to be something I like.

I agree with Jabi. If they come here, I would definately be the first an the que for tickets. But if I go to Sweden, I might prefer a Duskfall show, if STYLE turns out to be shit. But since I love TQP, I really doubt I would miss IF...

Yeah, you people who are suddenly acting as though In Flames is by all means and standards a terribile band......well you know what I say - Fuck You! You need to go drink draino or something...because if you have nothing else to worry about other than not liking the music In Flames currently plays, then you probably live one of the most useless lives...

Anyway, I will see In Flames as many times as I can...anywhere within 3 hours from me. They have one of the most incredible live shows EVER...the energy and passion they put into their shows (and their music) is ALWAYS incredible...and there's not a single thing you nay-sayers can do about that. So fuck yourselves in the ass and die, because I am really sick of you people who act as though your negative opinions matter...

You could always tell who the new In Flames fan is, cause no In Flames fan who knew what IF was capable of during colony and whoracle could like this korn rip off shit. so go fuck YOURSELF newbie, and I don't really have to worry about how In Flames can sound anymore cause I will be listening to the band who actually kept THEIR sound, DARK tRANQUILLITY, hail Sundin!

You could have tried to sound like a bigger ignorant fuck, but I think you would have some trouble doing so...

If you didn't realize, I made it clear that I have listened to In Flames for quite some time, and have also followed the metal scene for quite some time. Even if I were a "new" In Flames fan, I would still have their albums, their interviews, their bootlegs, their history, etc. at hand...it would make no difference. You are no better than the next guy simply because you were a fan of them back in the day and he was not. Get your head out of your ass, dumb fuck.....

In Flames was capable of fantastic melodic Death Metal back in their Whoracle days...and now, they are capable of making emotional, atmospheric metal. If you don't like it, then just shut your fucking mouth and don't worry about it...

...oh, and just because you may not be able to comprehend a logic other than your own - Dark Tranquility by NO means kept their sound...you obviously are a "NEW" Dark Tranquility fan...listen to Skydancer, then listen to Projector, then listen to Damage Done.........yeah, same sound ...ass fuck.

OWNED!

Jesus fuck, of course this has to turn into an STYE arguement.

To answer the question, yes. I'll go see em'. However it wont be as enjoyable as a Clayman tour set because slowly the older songs will be bumped off to make room for new ones and we'll get maybe 1 from TJR, 1 from Whoracle etc. I can see a time in the future where I won't be interested in seeing em as much as the past few years, but I'll go to the STYE tour definitly, they are always great live.

At this point it really doesn't matter because DARK tRANQUILLITY Obviously shits on In Flames. Anders singing about the same fucking depressing shit and now sounding like Jonathan Davis in the process "oh this pain, its hurting me inside" maybe you should go listen to Stained you fucking faggott if you want emotional metal. Oh so if your capable of making different types of music your amazing? your stupider then I thought, you must like St.Anger too huh? I mean..Metallica IS capable of writing Heavy Metal and Rock right? All I have to say is, Scream Bloody Gore-Sounds of Perseverence, thats keeping your sound while still being able to surprise every album. Go Kill Yourself

Dude if you wanna go see In flames go for it. I'm not gonna stop you, but when you do just look around at the crowd. I have a feeling the number of people wearing Good Charlotte and Staind shirts will outnumber the ones wearing metal shirts and they (metal dudes) will just be staring with their mouths open in shock as if they walked into the biggest scat porn shoot in history.

Ben

Alright cockgobbler,
WHO THE FUCK FUCKING CARES ABOUT WHO GOES TO SEE THESE SHOWS?

Jesus.
Oh, are you afraid of losing your street cred? Poor you.
If you don't like the music, fine. I think any bootleg post-1999 has had a mediocre setlist, but christ. I went to see them last time in 2002 and holy hell do they put on a great show. I don't care if nu-metal fans go, I will, too.

Oh for fucks sake, you know god damn well people with Good Charlotte and Staind shirts arent going to show up at In Flames shows. Even if they did, its not going to fuckin ruin my experience of seein a band I love live. I went to see Soilwork this past fall and I had to put up with a bunch of dumb fuck hardcore kids who were there to see Bleeding Through. When Soilwork came on I really didn't give a fuck cause I was paying more attention to the band than the guys around me.

Dude, In Flames toured with Mudvayne and have played with Slipknot. What other bands do you think those fans listen to? Maybe if I had said Tuff and Faster Pussycat shirts, yes that has a slim to none chance of happening but Good Charlotte and Staind fanboys arent too far a stretch. Anyways, that was used mainly to illustrate the point that In Flames have now started to play for everyone that has 13 year old boy problems. Or thinks they do.

Ben

daybreaker.......

shut the fuck up. do us all a favor and quit with your extreme stereotypes, generalizations, and paranoia. you are the kind of person that slowly drives me away from these boards with your overwhelming elitist idiocy. you don't even try to sound smart like most elitists do. you just end up looking like a typical "look at me i'm so cool and superior to everyone because i'm a tr00 metalhead"..... and if you can't put a finger on what i am talking about, then you aren't even worth arguing with.
