Agreed. It seems that since they released Once Sent, the band went slower and more epic after every release. Now With Oden simply returned to the roots whilst keeping some pure viking epicness.
And I must third, the new Amon Amarth is ace. It really has a certain spirit and innoscence about it. My favourite track is "herod's ride to hel..."
I hope they play it when they come over next month
I recently got FoN aswell and although I've only listened to it a few times, I really like it. The drumming is almost like, powermetal/hard rock style simplicity (that puts me off most bands) but it kind of brings the riffs up a bit which I like.
I wish they'd have over dubbed this song with some bassey voiced individual, preferably of black origin, saying "OOOh Baby"! and "Alright!" and "light em up steve!"... it'd be the best song ever!
