CIRCUS MAXIMUS' sound is being described in a press release as "a unique mixture of progressive technical metal and melodic hard rock" and a must "for all fans of SYMPHONY X, DREAM THEATER and TNT."

"The 1st Chapter", due on May 16, will contain the following track listing:

03. Glory of the Empire (mp3 sample)

The album features cover artwork by Mattias Norén / ProgArt Media (EVERGREY, KOTIPELTO, DEREK SHERINIAN) while the album was mixed by Tommy Hansen (JORN, HELLOWEEN).

As previously reported, CIRCUS MAXIMUS have been announced as one of 10 bands set to perform at this year's ProgPower USA festival in Atlanta, GA.

This disc is at the top of my 'To Get' list. I have a feeling these guys may be the band that steals the spotlight from some of the bigger boys. Good find Glenn.

Very cool. They sound good. I just do not see where the Symphony X and Dream Theater comparisons are being made though. TNT and Balance of Power would be more fitting.

Hmm...for those of you who even care...I DID NOT SAY THAT LAST LINE!

Sounds like a guy with a HUGE ego, but I think this is something the management has put together just to make things more interseting for the reader.

See ya later

Are you talking about me or Glenn...I'm confused

CM rules!

No, I believe he's saying that he didn't say Circus Maximus are one of the best melodic metal/hard rock bands in the world. hehe. I was wondering about that. I read it, and I thought, "Wait, did he really say that?"

Correct - the statement, where Michael comes off as quite big-headed, is not accurate. It's 2 different things put together in one. Michael was actually saying to me that he hoped that CM one day would be looked upon as one of the great bands in their genre. And I, the stupid manager, hurried too much with making Michael's statement ready for the public that I threw it together with his comment about Frontiers Records always releasing superb albums by great bands, so it appeared as if Michael was comparing CM with the other bands at that label. Sorry guys, it's my fault :-(
